Every trip is laid-back with SA’s new Suzuki VanVan

Originally manufactured in the 70s and reintroduced in 2003, the Suzuki VanVan 125cc adventure motorcycle is now available in South Africa.

The retro bike is a machine which stands out from the crowd and punches well above its weight and class. It has long been a traditional urban adventurer and has grown into a cult bike that now takes enthusiasts on long-distance riding trips – just for the fun of it.

The VanVan’s distinctive retro look gives it a traditional charm and unique character, while its wide and spacious seat offers low ride height, lightweight handling and plenty of room.

“The VanVan 125 is a practical runabout, which also happens to be pretty cool and funky,” says Stuart Baker, motorcycle sales manager at Suzuki Auto SA.

“It’s a proper motorcycle in every sense, but one with individuality and flair. It also offers plenty of room for a pillion rider, not to mention great economy which makes the VanVan live up to that old saying – ‘the best things come in small packages’,” says Baker.

The fuel injection air-cooled 4-stroke engine allows for easy starting, instant throttle response and economical running. Bringing a relaxed feeling to the VanVan, the comfy and low seat makes it the ideal city commuter and means that parking and low-speed manoeuvres are simple.

The new product also offers rubber- covered foot pegs which add to the comfort level provided by the low, wide seat.

The Suzuki VanVan 125 has a recommended retail price of R32 995 and is sold with a one-year warranty.
