Brace yourself for the ultimate thrill

Do you think you can drive in different road conditions? Ever dream of living on the wild side? Experience the joy of life and enter the SA Trailmaster 4x4 Challenge - the ultimate thrill!

The SA Trail Master 4×4 Challenge 2015 is a challenge undertaken by 4×4 and other enthusiasts to test their skills in on and off-road driving, knowledge of recovery, camping, bush mechanics, first aid, and navigational abilities.

The challenge consists of a three-day elimination round followed by a five-day final event for the top-five participants. Enquiries: visit www.eventsxtreme.co.za/sa trailmaster or contact Johan Grobler on 082-411-7132 or Pieter on 072-843-2207.

Each team consists of two people and it is a test of their endurance and skills by day and night to navigate a course and complete various obstacles. All crews consist of a driver and co-driver/navigator, and will face intense scrutiny during the challenge as they will be judged on various points.

This will ensure a highly competitive and entertaining spirit throughout the gruelling elimination rounds as well as the five-day’s final which takes in a wide range of man-made and natural obstacles, including lush forests, arid plains, raging rivers, and everything in between.

It is not a race, nor is it an opportunity for people to demonstrate their physical power or ability to drive through the wilderness at breakneck speeds. For although off-road driving proficiency is essential, the SA Trailmaster 4×4 Challenge places greater emphasis on a love for environmentally friendly off-road use!

During the elimination rounds you can expect the following stages: mystery stage, precision driving, off-road obstacle driving, emergency evasive manoeuvres and skid control.
On-road defensive driving: tyre stage, navigational skills, knowledge, reverse, speed stage, camp-site matters and recovery.
