Despite the municipal manager of Nkomazi Local Municipality’s (NLM) answer to Daily Sun’s question on why the Chief Financial Officer, Bongani Khoza, resigned so suddenly it now seems he just may have been caught with his hand in the financial koffers of the municipality. According to Dan   Ngwenya of  NLM, Khoza left because he got a better offer elsewhere.

The Daily Sun hints at the fact that Khoza resigned when he was asked to explain why R30 million had been paid out to consulting company, BS Sibiya, allegedly owned by a relative of a senior municipal manager at NLM. Khoza denied any wrongdoing and said, according the article in Daily Sun of May 22, that he simply acted on instructions from Dan Ngwenya.

BS Sibiya consultant’s Bheki Sibiya denied any involvement with NLM.
