New Jeep Renegade now available in SA

In South Africa, the new Jeep Renegade will be available initially with the Limited trim levels – Longitude, and Trailhawk (September arrival) – and the fuel-efficient 1.4l MultiAir powertrain with manual transmission.
Exterior
Jeep designers knew the Renegade would need to deliver best-in-class capability with city-sized proportions and open-air freedom that dates back to its 1941 roots, with the Jeep Willys MB, and still present today with the current Jeep Wrangler. From any angle it reveals the distinctive design cues of the brand’s stylistic heritage, such as round headlights, signature seven-slot grille and trapezoidal wheel arches. A large dual pane electric sliding-glass roof provides customers with open-air freedom.
Interior
The interior boasts a distinctive, fresh form language, which Jeep designers have titled “Tek-Tonic.” Unique “protective clamp fasteners,” anodised design accents and inspired colours are derived from extreme sports equipment. The Renegade is designed with an efficient and flexible interior package that includes a fold-forward front-passenger seat and class-exclusive removable, reversible and height-adjustable cargo load floor.
Engines
The Jeep Renegade will initially be powered by a fuel-efficient 103kW 1.4l MultiAir II Turbo petrol engine with Stop&Start featuring a six-speed manual transmission and 4×2 configuration.
Infotainment and safety
On-board comfort and infotainment offers advanced technology features including the UConnect system with 5” (a standard feature on all trim levels) or 6.5” touch screen with navigation, Bluetooth with hands-free phone. The Jeep Renegade Limited features a 7” colour instrument cluster multiview display, the largest in the segment.
Safety and security features includes six standard airbags, ESC with Electronic Rollover Mitigation (ERM), Parkview rear camera, Forward Collision Warning-Plus, LaneSense Departure Warning-Plus and Adaptive Cruise Control.
The new Renegade is the first Small sport-utility vehicle (SUV) to use the all-new “small-wide 4×4 architecture”. The new Jeep Renegade range will be available in South Africa immediately from Jeep dealerships countrywide. Pricing starts at R375 990 and includes a standard three-year/100 000km warranty and class leading six-year/100 000km maintenance plan.
