Produkta and Wimpy share hot customer service
Of late, early morning, sleepy-eyed motorists have sporadically been surprised by a group of energetic and friendly faces offering a cup of steaming hot coffee, free of charge. The staff at Produkta Nissan, in conjunction with Wimpy at The Grove, have combined forces to assist the Nelspruit motorists in “taking the edge off”.
Waiting at a traffic light at any time of the day, we’ve come accustomed to seeing some hawkers selling kites, avocados, chargers or replica sunglasses and other paraphernalia. The local Lowvelder and Mpumalanga News lads are religiously on their posts on publication days with their bright green T-shirts; and we’re always assured to find some supplicants who’re associated with particular intersections asking for spare change.

“We’ve been thrilled with the relieved smiles and friendly banter by many of the early-morning motorists, says Cindy Nieuwenhuizen, sales manager at Produkta Nissan and Produkta Datsun. “It’s been exciting to surprise the motorists, and we’re ultimately very happy with the response we’ve received” she adds. Produkta Nissan’s sales team rises at the crack of dawn to meet up with the Wimpy group and then hand out random coffee to motorists on their way to work or drop off their kids at school.
Produkta Nissan assuredly forms part of the Lowveld culture, focusing on the clients’ needs first and foremost. “We’re not just interested in signing our next deal, but rather in building lasting relationships and ensuring continuous return business,” Cindy says. “We have a fantastic group of people working here, and we genuinely enjoy what we do on a daily basis,” she adds with a smile.
This is evident as they won the Best of Mbombela Service of Excellence award in 2014 as voted by the Lowveld community, and they’re set on maintaining this title.
So be on the lookout – especially during the cold winter mornings – and expect Produkta Nissan and Wimpy to help you “take the edge off”.
