New dealer principal welcomed to the family

“Henry Ford said quality means doing it right even when no one is looking, and although we are in the process of revitalising Numbi Auto’s visual corporate image, quality and integrity are what we have always stood for,” says Gerrit Kroon who recently joined the dealership as the dealer principal. Christo Pieterse’s new role will be that of co-owner and after-sales director.

Gerrit is a well-known face in the local industry and is excited about the new position to take ownership. “Ford’s extensive range of products is the source of much excitement as we can offer customers a full range from entry-level to luxury, and off-road to passenger carrier on the commercial market,” says Gerrit.

“Our staff is our biggest asset and gives stability to any dealership. We all share the same vision and goal and 17 of the current staff members have been with Numbi Auto for more than 10 years. Some have become legends in their own right: Oom Carel Dannhauser (33 years), Callie Miessner (29 years), Johann Waldeck (20 years) and Christo Pieterse himself with 27 years of experience at Numbi Auto.

“With the upcoming opening of a new sales sub-branch facility in Hazyview on October 1, we are growing the family within the Numbi Auto brand and it will give us access to the market as far as Hoedspruit.”

Gerrit’s wife Marita Kroon, will also become involved as the marketing consultant for all Numbi Auto events. This then, confirming the strong family orientation that has always been prevalent within this dealership. Numbi Auto is no ordinary dealership, it has been owner-managed and owned since 1968.

“It is wonderful to work in a smaller dealership environment as everything is more hands-on and personal which suits Numbi Auto’s intention to offer an environment where service is totally focused on the customer, developing and maintaining long-term customer and family relationships,” concluded Gerrit.
