MBOMBELA – It is the marketing campaign which has driven parents around the country to the brink of madness – and the nightmare is still not over.

Pick n Pay South Africa launched a promotion in August, rewarding customers with seemingly innocent tiny, plastic creatures – one for every R150 spent. These little critters are called Stickeez.

What makes this marketing brilliance is that it targets children, who convince their parent to buy at Pick n Pay until they have collected all 24 characters in the range.

Since the onset of the promotion, hundreds of photos have surfaced on social media, setting up fictional situations which could be quite… well, sticky.

Lowvelder compiled a gallery of some of the most popular #stickeez posts on social media.
