Gymnasts shine in the first round

Local gymnasts shone throughout the competition with almost all competitors in levels one to three receiving their junior provincial colours and qualifying for the second round of trials in Ermelo on August 12 and 13.

If the gymnasts get through the second round of qualifiers, they will be eligible for the North Zone championships later in August.
Participants in levels four to six were part of a preparatory competition because their first round of provincial trials will take place in Ermelo as their national competition works slightly differently.

Head coach at NGA, Mare Putter, said she was very proud of her academy’s gymnasts and grateful that the hard work had paid off.
Each participant received a voucher and toy from Mountain Spring Spur, the sponsors of the event.
