Young swimmers have a blast at Curro night gala
Curro Nelspruit, White River Primary, Laerskool Bergland, Laerskool Barberton and Riverview Primary School competed in the event.
The Primary School Curro Night gala was held on January 26 with the aim of having fun. Even the cool weather, though it is summer, could not keep the 300 children from swimming.

No points were allocated to any of the schools, so the event was a great opportunity for the u/7 swimmers to get used to a formal gala format, as it was their first.
Relays were included to encourage team spirit around the pool. It was evident from the vibe and excitement around the pool that the relays were a highlight.

The young swimmers enjoyed racing under the floodlights, adding to the festive atmosphere around the pool.
This was the second time that Curro hosted such an event, and the school plans on making it an annual gala for swimmers to look forward to.
