As a way of giving back to the community, Eskort Butchery donated products from their store to SAVF Herfsakker Old Age Home on Tuesday.

Herfsakker provides specialised care for senior citizens who can no longer care for themselves.

The donation followed a visit by Nelspruit Care Buddies to the the home.

Meisie Barnard, from Nelspruit Care Buddies, said that they were able to identify challenges faced by the community because they visited them. Care Buddies is a section 21, non-profit organisation which was founded in White River in 2003.
