Local teen sets sights on international showcase
With her long legs and electrifying smile, she has now been invited to participate in the International Talent Showcase (ITS) in the USA.
MBOMBELA – The 14-year-old local model, Zancha van Raaij, has been taking ramps and catwalks all over the Lowveld by storm.
With her long legs and electrifying smile, she has now been invited to participate in the International Talent Showcase (ITS) in the USA.
The event will be held in Miami from July 21 to 31.
During this event aspiring models, actors, singers, and dancers are connected with the world’s top modelling agencies, leading agents, managers and casting directors.
Talented individuals who are selected are guaranteed the opportunity to showcase before reputable agents. They will also be fully prepared by experienced coaches who will train them in their hometowns prior to the event.
They will gain exposure, an education and insight into the entertainment industry during their preparation training as well as at the actual ITS.

“To be invited to the showcase in America is a tremendous honour, as well as to be part of this prestigious and life-changing event.
“With all the top agencies and movie directors scouting for talent at this event, it is a dream come true. It is one which I have really worked hard for,” Zancha said.
In order to partake in this competition, however, she needs to raise funds.
According to Zancha’s mother, Jana, they have started selling raffle tickets at R30 and R100 per ticket.
Prizes up for grabs include a one-hour scenic flight over the Lowveld, four-month modelling courses and a signed Puma rugby jersey.
They will also host an event with the Pumas and Run/Walk for Life on February 16.
