SAPS plead for assistance in finding missing teenager

BURGERSFORT – The disappearance of a 19-year-old teenager, Mamma Eva Makua of Leboeng, has further instilled fear in local communities.
There has been a rise in missing children cases and abductions reported to the police.
According to the Limpopo SAPS, Makua went missing on September 9.
“It is reported that she left her home on the mentioned day at about 07:30 to visit her father in Tembisa, in Oakmore, Gauteng. She allegedly boarded a taxi at Burgersfort CBD to Tembisa, but she never reached her destination as her father was waiting for her at Oakmore. They tried to contact her on her cellphone but it is on voicemail,” said Limpopo SAPS spokesman, Brig Motlafelo Mojapelo.
He said a case of a missing person is currently investigated by the Leboeng SAPS. Mojapelo added that the young girl left home wearing a maroon dress.
He said the police conducted search operations at relatives and friends and the surrounding areas, but she was not found.
