Murder accused in Bruwer case denied bail in Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court

The matter was postponed to  October 19.

Sinovuyo Salela (28) , who is implicated in the March 17 shooting of Lt Col Leroy Bruwer, was denied bail in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court today.

Salela hails from Tsolo in the Eastern Cape and approached police there on June 19, claiming that he had knowledge of Bruwer’s murder.

He was transported to Mbombela and has been held in custody  since then. He has been in and out of court, seeking  bail. His bid to secure bail was granted a final blow as magistrate Susan Monaledi denied his application.

The matter was postponed to  October 19.
