Blaq Deep reaches for the stars

Local music producer, Blaq Deep, ended the year on a good note with his new single, "Soy'gibela".

Justice Moabi, popularly known as Blaq Deep, is a record producer and mixing engineer who reckons he is one of the most talented young producers to come out of a small town.

He explained that in his latest release, he added a twist of amapiano, a genre of electronic dance music that seems to have taken South Africa’s music industry by storm.

“The song, which features artists Lwazzy and Colorful, was released last month on all music platforms. I hope it will get me the recognition I deserve as a producer,” he said.

Blaq Deep is working on his second single called “Mashishing” recording under his record label Jam Records, that will be released at month end.

The single will feature Zahira of Shisa Phola Action, Mzwetja and Mpuminayza of Mashishing.

He has won local awards in Mpumalanga and Limpopo as the best engineer and producer on many occasions, shooting music video with the iconic record producer, record label founder, Durban kwaito artist, and DJ Tira.

“The sky’s the limit. I am willing to soar to greater heights and put this town on the map,” he said excitedly.
