Women’s soccer league coming
Locals are promoting women's soccer teams in Thaba Chweu Local Municipality (TCLM).
Four teams have been launched so far.
According Mashishing Ladies Football Club coach, Siwisha Masinga, they want to establish as many teams as possible in Thaba Chweu to play in the Sasol League.
Masinga said Safa wants to award them Sasol status and in order to qualify they need to have eight teams.

Last weekend Mashishing Ladies Football Club played against Shaga Ladies FC in a friendly match as part of promoting women’s football in the area. Mashishing Ladies beat Shaga Ladies 5-2.
This coming weekend Mashishing, Shaga, Coromandel and Badfontein ladies soccer teams will compete in a top-4 friendly tournament at Coromandel.
Masinga invites other areas within the municipality to form women’s soccer teams so they can participate in the Sasol League. Masinga also asked for sponsorship for all the teams.
“Our players are schoolchildren and they are from disadvantaged family backgrounds. They have dreams to be something one day.”
