Community unites to march against violence
LYDENBURG - To kick off the National 16 Days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children, Lydenburg stakeholders handed a petition over to the Lydenburg Magistrate's Court.
A group of non-profit organisations and state departments gathered to march through town to the court on Wednesday November 25.

Gender-based violence is deeply rooted in gender inequality, and continues to be one of the most notable human rights violations within all societies. It has escalated in Lydenburg and Mashishing. The stakeholders included the Step Foundation, Bread of Life, SAPS, Mashishing churches, Department of Health, Thulare Missions, Christelike Maatskaplike Raad, and residents of Kellysville and Mashishing.
