Local gospel artist releases two singles
LYDENBURG - Local gospel singer and songwriter, Cleopatra Ntombikayise Ncongwane (26), has released two singles from her debut album.
The singles titled “Kungenxa Yomusa Wakho” and “Tlo Moya” were released under the Grid Media Empire early last year in December at the Thee Space, Nedbank Complex. Both are available across all digital stores and streaming services.
According to the Grid Media Empire, Ncongwane, better known as Cleo N, was born in Lydenburg (Mashishing).

She hails from a family of praise and worship. Her late father was a pastor and her mother a singer.
She inherited both parents’ traits, her gift made her win chorus leader accolades at school almost every year. Ncongwane started singing as a hobby at a tender age of seven at Kwaguqa Primary School in Witbank.

She is part of the the praise and worship team at Alliance Praise in Mashishing and has been part of the Peculiar Vessels of Worship in Middelburg.
In July 2018 she achieved her greatest milestone by winning SABC2’s small town talent contest, Showville. In the same year she became active in music and shared the stage with gospel heavyweights like Lebo Sekgobela and Thina Zungu and many other artists at the annual TMM birthday weekend.

Ncongwane thanked her spiritual parents, Apostle Thoko and Pr Nonyane, Hope of Nations family Church, her family, friends and the community at large for the support they have given her.
She also thanked her band, Wisani Malesa, Shadow Maake, Godney Mkansi, Abdul kharim Mohammad and her backing vocalists, Pamela Nkambule, Sandile Nkosi and Sindiswa Nkosi for making this project successful.
“Ministering in music is my gift from God. I am ready to let Him use me to impact people’s lives. And I can’t wait for the world to receive what God has placed inside me.”

Ncongwane’s friend, Patience Sibande, said the genre she had picked suits her.
“She is doing outstandingly in her music career. I have known her for a quite a long time. She enjoys gospel music. I always knew she would make it.”
