Young ones excited about big school adventure
According to the schools' management, the pupils' first day in Tubatse was filled with excitement for those in primary and high school.
BURGERSFORT – The public schools started their calendar year on Monday February 15, several independent ones had welcomed pupils a week ago.
In Tubatse, the grade ones were welcomed at their respective schools for the first time. St Thomas College, Calvin College, Highlands College, Good Hope and other private schools reported an increase in the number of grade ones.
Inside their classrooms, the kids were dressed in their new uniforms and had their masks on. The schools adhered to the Covid-19 regulations.
According to the schools’ management, the pupils’ first day in Tubatse was filled with excitement for those in primary and high school.
The little ones were eager to start the school year while parents tried to keep the tears back.
Teachers and personnel at the different schools are prepared for a fun and educational year ahead.
Steelburger/Lydenburg News visited several schools in and around Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality to witness the excitement. Burgersfort Laerskool, Ohrigstad Laerskool, Ikhwezi Lokusa, Steelpoort Academy and several public schools in the villages will welcome the learners on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Limpopo spokesperson for education, Tidimalo Chuene, confirmed to the newspaper
that they had successfully delivered stationery and textbooks to all schools in
the province
