Two worthy ladies win a marvellous makeover
Compassion and inspiration drove a makeover competition into something meaningful; making a difference in someone's life.
Karen Mienie Smit and Mandy Hubbard were announced as the winners on Monday August 9. “Women empowering women is such a stunning thing. We as women need to stand firm, and support and guide and love one another. We need to celebrate being a woman. You are fabulous. The ‘fab’ is in you and you are nothing less,” said the organiser, Heidi Betz. Betz is a motivational speaker, blogger and influencer.
People were asked to nominate a special lady who inspires them and share the reason why on Facebook and Instagram.

Marne van Greunen and Lydia Kruger nominated Karen Mienie Smit with this motivation: “She has a heart of gold and is always prepared to help anyone. She sees the sun shining over everyone.”
Skye Hubbard nominated Mandy Hubbard in writing: “She has been through a lot in life. She is my best friend. She is funny, caring, loving, smart, strong, good-hearted and understanding. She always tries to make people happy. And with everything she has been through, she always tries to keep a smile on her face.”
The team of sponsors are similarly strong, beautiful, hardworking, successful, kind and determined women who want to make a difference in others’ lives.
Within the next few weeks, the winners will be spoiled and treated.
