Local pharmacists step up vaccination efforts
The pharmacies charged with administering the Covid-19 vaccine are encouraging locals to sign up to receive the shot.
BURGERSFORT – They are your regular neighbourhood pharmacists, but some now wear superhero capes.
Have you taken your Covid-19 jab? If not, Kalapeng Pharmacies Burgersfort and Burmed Pharmacy in
Steelpoort and KaBokweni are ready to assist you with your vaccination.
Locals have been vaccinating at the pharmacies since August 12.
The pharmacies charged with administering the Covid-19 vaccine are encouraging locals to sign up to receive
the shot.
Pharmacist Emmanuel Manngo said locals can book by appointment, they can walk in and also drive-thru.
“We are currently offering Covid-19 vaccines to everyone above 18 years of age.
“We have appointment options at all of our Kalapeng Pharmacies.
“Pharmacies have been very keen to be involved from the second the opportunity arose. Community pharmacies have been waiting and are eager to be involved with the Covid-19 vaccination
service. “We are hoping for a really good response from the community,” said Manngo.
According to the management of Kalapeng Pharmacies, mobile services can be arranged by a community or company.
