Simple but fun things to do with your kids on Christmas Eve

There are a tonne of fun things to do with your kids on Christmas Eve, but here are three of our favourite activities.

It’s Christmas eve and your home is no doubt buzzing with excitement as your kids count down the hours until tomorrow morning when it’s time to open the presents Santa left for them. If you don’t have any Christmas Eve traditions yet, or are looking for something else to do with your kids, why not try one of the below activities? Here are three great ways to spend Christmas Eve with your children.

Bake some festive cookies for Santa

If you haven’t done this yet, today is the perfect day for baking. The kids will love the idea of helping you make cookies to leave for Santa. For some top recipes for kids, click here.

Curl up on the couch and watch a Christmas movie

A fun family Christmas movie with popcorn and a big family bed in the lounge is a great way to spend Christmas Eve. If you have a Netflix account, look for Klaus. This beautifully animated feature about a postal worker who befriends a lonely toymaker was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2019. The kids will love it.

Take a drive and look for Christmas lights

Many people in some suburbs love adorning their houses in Christmas lights. Go for a drive with the kids and see how many houses with cool Christmas lights you can find.
