The Tubatse Chrome Golf Club held a golf extravaganza in Steelpoort over the past weekend.

The two-day event saw the ladies’ champion, Chriselda Myburgh, B division winner Collins Makola, club champion Thinus Labuschagne, C division winner Denver Frazer and junior champion Dana Riekert being honoured with trophies for their excellent play.

A total of 64 players competed for the title of club champion, but that was clinched by Labuschagne.

It was the most players to ever compete for this trophy in the history of Tubatse Chrome Golf Club.

“The Tubatse Chrome Club’s golf committee would like to thank all the players for playing in good spirit,
and Tubatse Club for all the arrangements they made and excellent food for the participants.

“A special word of thanks to our greenkeeper, Johann Swanepoel, for preparing a wonderful challenging course under difficult conditions with the heat!  All the players only had praise for the beautiful course,” said Labuschagne
