Lifeless body of a man found at a river in Alverton
Families who are missing loved ones, are urged to come forward to view the body and assist the police by contacting the investigating officer, Lieutenant Colonel Livingstone Mulaudzi on 082 699 4961.
The Tubatse SAPS in Burgersfort appeals to the community members to come forward and assist in identifying the body of an unknown man that was retrieved from the Tubatse River in Alverton. It was found by the provincial search and rescue unit last Tuesday at about 17:00.
“According to information, the SAPS received a report about a body that was seen floating in the river by community members who were fishing. The search and rescue unit was activated.
“The team commenced with the search and managed to retrieve the body, which was in an advanced state of decomposition. The cause of the incident has not yet been established. An inquest docket has been opened for further investigation,” said the Limpopo police spokesperson, Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.
