The day was a resounding success as more than 150 golfers took to the greens in support of Cupcakes for Cancer.

Chas Everitt Lowveld hosted its seventh annual charity golf day at Mbombela Golf Club on November 8, in support of Cupcakes for Cancer.

The event has continued to grow in popularity and was attended by 152 golfers, businessmen and sponsors from the local community.

The relatively cool but dry weather provided the perfect backdrop, and the day proved to be another huge success with the usual enthusiasm and fun.

All 18 tee boxes were manned and the sponsors handed out prizes, drinks and snacks to the weary golfers during the day, and R100 000 was up for grabs for a hole-in-one on hole number three, sponsored by Rand Labour & Consultants. Unfortunately, no one could win this elusive prize, but the day ended with supper, live music and a fun-filled prize-giving in which the NKP four-ball emerged the winners on a score of 112 points, and the Produkta four-ball came second on 110 points.

After the formalities, a cheque for R100 000 was handed over to Cupcakes of Hope, a local charity that assists children afflicted with cancer.

Chas Everitt Lowveld wishes to extend its immense gratitude to all the sponsors and golfers who contributed to this worthy cause, and we look forward to hosting everyone again in 2025.
