Christmas fever hit Malalane and brought with it a brand-new car at the event hosted by Roots Butchery.
The Roots Butchery in Malalane hosted a spectacular Christmas-themed event to celebrate their 20th anniversary on Saturday, November 16. This fun-filled event was also a life-changing moment for the 29-year-old Thabisile Sambo, who walked away with a brand-new Renault Kwid from the Roots Win A Car Competition.
Sambo could not hold back her excitement when her name was announced as the winner.
“I am overjoyed. When I entered this competition, I had faith and I prayed that God would help me win it. Here I am today, going back home as a first-time car owner and I am very excited,” said Sambo.
After spending as little as R650 on her entry slip, Sambo said the car would be a major boost for her business.
I am a self-employed young woman and this car will come in very handy in growing my business and making it even more efficient. I am grateful to Roots Butchery and I will continue being one of their loyal customers,” she added.
Nkomazi Roots Butchery’s manager, Daniel Ponte, said this event was also to promote the spirit of sharing and giving, as we head towards the festive season.
“Roots Butchery celebrates 20 years of giving great service to our clients over the years, and what better way to celebrate that than to give away 20 cars through different stores. Today was our turn to host the draw and we had an amazing time with our clients and suppliers. We also used this event to remind our customers of the importance of sharing and giving during these holidays. Food and desserts were given to the attendees of the event, courtesy of the store,” said Ponte.
The event was MCd by Alfred Ntombela of the popular Leon Schuster movies. Roots Butchery also gave their suppliers the opportunity to promote some of their products.
