Update: Coffin case: “Accused should be found guilty”

Advocate Robert Molokoane argued that the seven charges against the accused in the coffin case were proved during the trial.

He said that Delton Sithole’s version of a gun in Oosthuyzen’s possession, by even describing the size thereof, proves that there was in fact a gun present.

Adv Molokoane further argued that Sithole could not have corroborated evidence with Mlotshwa because of “minor in discrepancies” in their testimonies.

He argued that the accused admitted to kidnapping Mlotshwa and said that the threats they claim he made is highly unlikely.

Adv Molokoane said that the fact that Mlotshwa only reported the matter after the video went viral shows that he was rather threatened.

Day two coffin case trial continues

Adv Molokoane argued that the accused should be found guilty of attempted murder because they took Mlotshwa to an unknown place, that a coffin was used and that he was threatened with being burned alive shows that the accused commenced with their attempt to murder him.
