According to first respondents, six people were killed instantly after the vehicle travelling on the N4 from Mbombela to Gauteng lost control on the overpass before crashing down between the gap of the overpass and landing on the Bethal road below.

Emergency respondents are at the scene and traffic from Bethal to Middelburg is being regulated due to lane closure under the overpass.

Minor delays can be expected while scene clear up commences.
