Police searching for woman to help in murder trial
The police are looking for a Zimbabwean national who could assist in the pending Rooikraal murder trial.
The Groblersdal Police are appealing to Vimbai Muzenda to come forward and assist with information regarding the murder of Raymond Papapavlou.
It is believed that Muzenda is in the eMalahleni or Middelburg area.
Mr Papapavlou was murdered on October 4, 2020, after being shot in his home on Rooikraal farm, located between Groblersdal and Stoffberg.
Patricia Ray-Lee Smith, Simoné Papapavlou (Raymond’s wife), Paulinah Mafatle Tseka, her son Calvin Tseka and Phillip Manchidi made a brief appearance in the Polokwane High Court as the accused in Mr Papapavlou’s murder trial.
The five appeared alongside each other for the first time in August 2023, when the case was postponed to allow the Tsekas and Manchidi time to consult with their legal representatives.
Meanwhile, the murder investigation continues, and Muzenda is sought as she is believed to have information that could assist in the case.
Anyone who has information on the whereabouts of Muzenda can contact the investigating officer, A.O. Debbie van Zyl, on 076 084 1509 or their nearest police station.
