N4 now open, but smoke is covering R555

Wildfires wreaking havoc, with drivers urged to proceed with caution.

The N4 has been reopened after several accidents took place between Ultra City and the tollgate.

Caution is still advised to those travelling in the area, as wildfires have severely limited road visibility.

• Louwtjie Swart has warned drivers on the Traffic Alert WhatsApp group of smoke affecting visibility on the old Middelburg/Witbank Road, otherwise known as the R555.
