WATCH: Court to deliver judgment in the 2022 municipal shooting case

During the court proceedings today (Wednesday), video footage showed Mchunu holding a rifle, facing Maseko who, was holding his cellphone recording the scene.

The Middelburg High Court was buzzing with municipal workers who came in their numbers to hear the court deliver judgment in the Tshepo Maseko murder trial.

Acting Judge, GD Herman, said that while he was deliberating on his judgment, he looked at the video footage that was played in court numerous times.

Judge Herman, however, observed a number of events in the video that he felt must be addressed in court.

The specific video footage the judge was talking about were taken near the guard room at the civic centre at the time of the fatal shootings.
