Suspects wanted following woman’s fatal shooting

A woman on her way to work was shot dead in Sekhukhune district, Steelpoort, on Tuesday morning.

Zandile Mkhabela (30), a mother to a six-year-old boy, was found lying dead on a road in Mahlakwena Village, with her car still idling.

She was reportedly three months pregnant, and is originally from Lydenburg, Newstand Section, in Mpumalanga.

Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, Limpopo Provincial Police spokesperson, said Zandile’s lifeless body was found with a gunshot wound to the head at about 06:00.
Ledwaba stated that the incident occurred not far from where Zandile was staying, “The police are searching for suspects responsible for the shooting.”

He added that the motive for the murder is pending an investigation.
