Ephraim Mogale mayor checks on projects

Work on Uitvlugt Bus Road complete, Mayor Moimana expresses satisfaction on progress of infrastructural developments.

Mayor Given Moimana embarked on an assessment drive at four infrastructure projects being implemented in parts of Ephraim Mogale Local Municipality on Tuesday.

The road projects include the Uitvlugt Bus Road in Ward 2 and Matlala Internal Road in Matlala Ramoshebo Village, Ward 5.

The sports facility projects are the Matlerekeng Sport Facility as well as the Mamphokgo Sports Complex.

Work on the Uitvlugt bus road has been completed and Moimana expressed satisfaction with the quality.

The Matlala Internal Road construction commenced on November 5 last year and is envisaged for completion on September 30.

Remedial work on the incomplete Mamphokgo Sports Complex resumed on April 22 and is planned for delivery on October 21.

The mayor lauded the contractors for the progress they are making on the projects and ensuring that no interruptions are encountered.

Life Nape, municipal spokesperson, said the mayor’s visits sought to monitor the developments and further ensure they are implemented according to their scopes.

The Matlerekeng Sport Facility work took off from the ground on June 20 this year and is expected to be finished on March 20 next year.
