Elias Motsoaledi mourns the passing of Ndabezitha Maphepha II

The community of Elias Motsoaledi mourns the passing of Mrungwa Ikosi P. J. Mahlangu, after a long illness.

Condolences have started pouring in for the Ndebele Traditional Council following the passing of Mrungwa Ikosi P. J. Mahlangu.

Ndabezitha Maphepha II passed away at St Rita’s Hospital at the age of 68 on July 22 after a long illness.

Prince Mbusi Mahlangu, secretary of the royal council, said Ndabezitha Maphepha II had been battling ill health for the past two years.

Prince Mahlangu told the Observer Daller that details of the funeral arrangements have not been confirmed, but will be made public soon.

Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality Mayor David Tladi expressed profound sadness over the passing of Mrungwa of the Ndebele Traditional Council, Maphepha II.

Tladi sent condolences on behalf of the municipality and the community to the royal family, “I am deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Ikosi P. J. Mahlangu, Maphepha II, Mgwezani of the Ndebele Traditional Council. Ikosi Mahlangu was a revered leader whose dedication to his community and traditional values will be profoundly missed. His legacy of service and commitment to the people will continue to inspire us all,” he said.
