One person died in a collision between a vehicle and a heavy motor vehicle on the R33 (Stoffberg Road) just outside Groblersdal during the early hours of today.

According to information shared on the TrafficAlert WhatsApp group, the accident occurred at approximately 01:15. It is not yet clear how many people were injured in the crash.

The road was closed for several hours to allow for forensic investigations and clean-up operations. Oranges transported by the heavy motor vehicle were scattered across the scene.
