Mayor’s Marathon is around the corner

The Makhuduthamaga Mayor’s Marathon will take place at Jane Furse Artificial Pitch on 15 November.

It’s all systems go for the second edition of the Makhuduthamaga Mayor’s Marathon scheduled for next Saturday and expected to attract hundreds of athletes.

Thomas Mashabela, municipal spokesperson, said the race will be held at the Jane Furse Artificial Pitch on November 15.

“This year’s race is an official Comrades Marathon qualifier, bringing together runners and sports enthusiasts from all over to participate in four categories. Entry fees start from R100, and the first 100 people to enter online will receive a free official marathon T-shirt,” stated Mashabela.

The categories are 42.2km, 21.1km, 10km, and the 5km Fun Run.

Entries close on November 10.
