Provincial government interacts with local municipalities

Members of the Limpopo Legislature conducted an oversight visit in the Sekhukhune District on November 11.

Sekhukhune District Municipality spokesperson Lemson Moropjane said the two-day visit aims to bring legislators closer to the people and accelerate service delivery in the four local municipalities of the region.

Moropjane indicated that the insight gathered during the programme will be referred to the committees of the provincial legislature for further action and monitoring.

The oversight visit precedes the sitting of the legislature scheduled for November 13 at the Peter Nchabeleng Sports Complex, Schoonoord Village, in Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality.

Dr Makoma Makhurupetje, Speaker of the Provincial Legislature, will chair the proceedings. She is also expected to meet various stakeholders at Boeketlong Lodge, Mogorwane Village today (Wednesday) ahead of the sitting.
