Christmas comes early for young ones

Over 5 000 children received goodies from the Motsepe Foundation through the organisation’s Christmas Toy Drive on November 12.

The initiative is in line with National Children’s Day, which is commemorated annually on the first Saturday of November.

Schools and Early Childhood Development Centres (ECDs) across Elias Motsoaledi, Makhuduthamaga, and Fetakgomo Tubatse local municipalities benefitted from the programme.

The distribution of the toys was run in collaboration with the Sekhukhune District Municipality. Mayor Minah Bahula commended the foundation for its ongoing commitment to community upliftment and generosity towards the children in the region.

Bahula highlighted that such partnerships embody the true spirit of Ubuntu and demonstrate the significance of collaborations between the government and other stakeholders.
