Runners spoiled with chocolate, biltong, and gees

Middelburg Observer’s water point the best

Chocolate, biltong, potatoes, oranges, Coke, water, and gees (spirit), lots and lots of gees.

The Loskop Marathon water points were once again a highlight on Saturday.

Runners who had toiled their way from Middelburg to Loskop were thoroughly spoilt.

The same can be said for the Wild Challenge, where mud and drizzle could not dampen anyone’s spirits.

There was a wide variety of food and drink, complemented by colourful water stations and sprinklers for instant refreshment.

The Middelburg Observer was the water point winner in the Wild Challenge.

It was a difficult decision to determine the 50km winner, with Nashua, Rawson real estate agency, Columbus, and Kranspoort standing out.

Columbus won the first 50km, while Kranspoort secured victory over the final 50km.
