Taking place on June 15 and 16 from 11:00 to 18:00 at Noordwyk Secondary School, this event promises an inspiring blend of fun activities and community support aimed at strengthening the emotional and social fabric of young boys.

This Youth Month, the #ProtectABoyChild initiative is making a powerful comeback, inviting fathers, guardians, and boys to come together for a meaningful weekend of sport, conversation, and brotherhood.

Taking place on June 15 and 16 from 11:00 to 18:00 at Noordwyk Secondary School, this event promises an inspiring blend of fun activities and community support aimed at strengthening the emotional and social fabric of young boys.

Run by the Brian Molapisane Foundation, the initiative is dedicated to creating safe spaces where boys can grow into confident, respectful, and emotionally intelligent men.

Founder Molapisane emphasised that this event extended beyond a simple sporting day – it was a community movement committed to fostering emotional resilience, mental clarity, and spiritual grounding.

“We encourage every father or father figure to attend and spend quality time with their boys. Sports create a natural environment for men to bond, and this day provides a safe, fun space to open hearts and minds while enjoying time together,” said Molapisane.

Participants are encouraged to wear sporty attire, as there will be activities including football games, group discussions, team challenges, and mentorship activities, among others.

“If you love sports, don’t forget to bring your soccer boots and team spirit. Football will be the heart of the day, a tool for connection, healing, and joy. Food will be sold on-site, and families are welcome to come and enjoy the fun.”

Moreover, while wearing the official Protect A Boy Child T-shirt on the day is encouraged, it is optional. “The shirt represents more than just clothing, it is a symbol of unity, awareness, and responsibility. It shows the world that we stand together in nurturing boys into confident, respected, and emotionally aware men.

“Wearing one is a way to visibly support the movement and help raise funds for impactful work in our communities.”

The foundation is also accepting donations of items such as deodorants, socks, toiletries, and more. “These gifts may seem small, but to a young boy trying to build confidence and dignity, they mean the world. Every contribution counts.

“This Youth Month, we are not just commemorating history, we are making it. Let us raise a generation of boys who are strong, safe, supported, and seen.”
