Suzuki moves swiftly on ABS

By Citizen Reporter

Both the new Swift 1.2 hatchback and the DZire 1.2 sedan are equipped with ABS brakes as standard – a feature usually reserved for more expensive models. However, Suzuki Auto SA is now able to confirm that all

locally marketed Swift 1.2 and DZire 1.2 models will be equipped with ABS anti-lock brakes as standard.

“It was always our intention to position our two new Swift models as compelling propositions in both economy and value terms,” says Francois van Eeden, national marketing manager at Suzuki Auto SA.

“As it transpires, we have now been able to enhance the active safety levels offered by the two newcomers by adding ABS brakes to an already attractive, value-added package, and at no extra cost.”

The Suzuki Swift 1.2 and Swift DZire 1.2 have just reached dealer showroom floors, with retail pricing starting at R126 900 for the Swift 1.2 hatch, and R128 900 for the DZire 1.2.

The pricing includes a two-year/45 000 km service plan, and a three-year/100 000km warranty, as well as a three-year roadside assistance programme.
