The Ford Focus RS Drift mode can be fun sometimes when you are keen to be your own ‘Gymkhana’, but it can also be risky (with expensive consequences) more expressly when done on public roads.
The following video shows an uninjured Ford RS driver attempting to use the RS Drift mode on a ‘hairpin bend’ in New Paltz, New York, during a cruise organised by the NY ST club, but the drift didn’t end up as he hoped and ended up hitting a cliff wall.
According to the video uploader, the club runs a zero tolerance policy towards unsafe driving, and the RS driver was reportedly booted out of the club.
