Celebrate the true essence of women
This event is a hot spot for the feminine thrill campaign which focuses on the joys of being a woman by embracing today's young girls.
Make a date for tomorrow to toast to being a fabulous female and attend one of the classiest events in the Lowveld, taking place from 14:00 at the Dream South Business Lounge.
Hosted by La’Posh Image Agency Events, the women will celebrate Izimbokodo, with the theme “champagne and chocolates”, because women are sweet, delicate, expensive and mature.
This event is a hot spot for the feminine thrill campaign which focuses on the joys of being a woman by embracing today’s young girls.
Organiser Portia Pilane says, “We collect heels and sanitary pads for young girls who are disadvantaged and cannot afford it themselves. We love to request that people donate heels and dresses to help girls with their matric farewells and sanitary pads for the disadvantaged, disabled and disowned. Our first and main benefactor is KaMagugu Inclusive School’s girls,” she says.
The dress code is pencil or tutu skirt and a doek, with the main colours as champagne and chocolate. The guest speakers are Nomfundo Sibanyoni from Rise FM who will emphasise the chocolate (sweet and delicate) nature of a woman. Carol Nkambule, an author and publisher, will delve into the champagne (expensive and mature) topics.
“Our own stylist, Nozipho Zee will do what she does best. She will discuss ‘Less is more’ – how to dress your body. She will be followed by guest speaker Minky Ntsele who is a celebrity make-up artist.
She’s worked on faces like Khaya from Doubt, Sinazo from Real Goboza, Pearl Thusi, most of the TV shows and Kele Foko who is Drum magazine’s fashion editor.
“Our women should be ready to be entertained through poetry, dance, song and a fashion show. Dream South is the most classy and exclusive event venue, thus our seats are limited to 200.
“Ladies need to call 013-754-7100 to book their seat, which costs R220 – including a meal and goodies. There will also be Dream South Spa vouchers and other prizes to be won. No woman wants to miss this,” Pilane concluded.
