Basketball fever hits province
Basketball tournament promises to be the best.
Provincial basketball teams prepare for the greatest bounce off when they clash against one another for glory.
They will take to the KaNyamazane courts, during a provincial tourney organised by the Mpumalanga Basketball Association.
The games will take place from August 31 to September 1.
This event promises to offer entertainment of the highest level in this game.
The organisers said it would be divided into categories and would also feature female teams.
Teams such as the KaNyamazane Lamlords, Matsulu Sharks, Braten, Nelspruit Nic and Daantjie Sweethearts are some scheduled to dazzle the crowds on the stands.
This constest will be a first to be held in this community with an exception of the usual games that are played on the courts over occasional weekends.
The organisers hope to unite the townships through this game and also to win over new followers since basketball is not as popular as soccer.
More teams especially from Mbombela, Nkomazi and Unmjindi are expected to be part of this first-ever tourney to be hosted in this township.
Entrance is free.
