PSL postpone Telkom knockout cup match
PSL postponed telkom knockout match between Orland Pirates and Mpumalanga Black Aces .
The Premier Soccer League has postponed the scheduled Telkom Knockout Cup match
between Mpumalanga Black Aces and Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates, which was to
take place on Wednesday at the Mbombela Stadium.
Even though the PSL gave no
explanations as to why word doing the rounds in soccer circles is that the PSL
is trying to give Pirates a rest ahead of their tough African Champions’ league
encounter against the Tunisian heavyweights, Esperanza FC.
“The Telkom
Knockout (TKO) round of 16 fixtures between Mpumalanga Black Aces and Orlando
Pirates has been rescheduled.
The fixture, originally scheduled for
Wednesday, October 2 has been moved to Tuesday, October 8. Kick-off time will
remain the same (19:30 was all the league was willing to communicate.
Pirates
have had back-to-back fixtures, which has created problems for coach Roger De Sa
as some of his key players picked up injuries, while fatigue was starting to
show to other players.
Tickets for the Aces/Pirates are already available at
all Computicket outlets.
