Gunshots fired as businessman and mother kidnapped in KZN

Police have launched a manhunt after armed men kidnapped and robbed a businessman and his mother on the Nquthu–Dundee road.

Police and the local NDE911 Active security group have called on the public to keep an eye out for a group of armed men who kidnapped and robbed a businessman and his mother on the Nquthu–Dundee road yesterday.

According to the Dundee Courier, SAPS sources, who cannot be named for safety reasons, said the suspects are travelling in a white Hyundai with GP registration plates and were last seen heading towards Dundee.

Several gunshots were reportedly fired during the robbery, causing panic among passing motorists. Police have since launched a manhunt and are working closely with local security networks to track down the suspects.

Residents and motorists are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.
