Opel Range: Engineered for comfort and flexibility
Opel's new Grandland, Astra, and Astra Sports Tourer offer bold design, advanced technology, and class-leading flexible space and ergonomic seating for ultimate driving comfort.

Opel’s latest range, including the new Grandland, Astra, and Astra Sports Tourer, exemplifies a commitment to bold and pure design, cutting-edge technology, and versatile space for both daily commutes and longer journeys.
A hallmark of Opel vehicles is their renowned long-distance comfort, achieved through meticulous chassis tuning and, most notably, their class-leading seats. These seats offer extensive adjustment options for drivers and front passengers of all sizes, with comfort features ranging from multi-level heating to massage and ventilation functions.
The philosophy is clear: settle in, enjoy the drive, and arrive relaxed after hours on the road.
Opel’s ergonomic seats have consistently earned recognition from independent experts at Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V., simultaneously enhancing safety for all road users.
Intelli-seats: Relief for body and mind in Grandland and Frontera
The latest innovation is the Intelli-Seat, standard in the new Grandland and available in the affordable new Frontera.
These seats feature a unique central recess inspired by racing bike saddles, reducing pressure on the tailbone. This patented ergonomic design ensures exceptional driving comfort, even on extended trips.
The Grandland, winner of the ‘Golden Steering Wheel 2024, ‘ comes standard with multi-level seat heating for added comfort in colder weather. Optional extendable thigh support increases the seating surface for taller occupants.
Optimal pelvic support is provided by the electro-pneumatically adjustable lumbar support (height and length). Four-way head restraints enhance safety in the head and neck area. Practicality is also considered, with smartphone pockets integrated into the back of the Grandland’s front seats.
Sustainable comfort: Recycled seat covers
The high-quality craftsmanship and features of Opel seats are further enhanced by the use of recycled and sustainable fabrics for the Intelli-Seat covers, aligning with Opel’s ‘Greenovation’ approach.
This 100 percent recycled and recyclable material reduces the CO2 footprint and eliminates waste, as offcuts can be directly reused without separation.
Intelli-Seat Pro with Nappa leather: Enhanced comfort in Grandland and Astra
For those seeking even greater seating comfort, Nappa leather upholstery is available in both the Grandland (with the high-end Intelli-Seat Pro) and Astra (with ergonomic active sports seats). The Intelli-Seat Pro in the Grandland features adjustable side bolsters, allowing drivers to customise lateral support.
Grandland and Astra seats with Nappa leather offer a range of shared features to maximise well-being, including ten-way electric adjustment for length, height, inclination, backrest, and seat cushion inclination, ensuring an optimal, back-friendly seating position for all occupants.
A memory function for the driver’s seat allows for automatic recall of personalised settings.
Seat ventilation, adjustable in three stages in the new Grandland, ensures a comfortable journey even in hot weather, preventing discomfort and promoting a refreshed arrival.
Furthermore, numerous other features, such as the Intelli-Air ‘Clean Cabin’ air quality system in the Grandland, contribute to exceptional travel comfort across the Opel range, working with high-quality seats to ensure a relaxed and healthy driving experience.
