Golden cut Margarita with baby corn for garnish

The golden cut margarita is a bold tequila cocktail made with Don Julio Reposado, verjus, lime, and grapefruit bitters.

The Margarita may be the world’s most loved cocktail, but it is only as exceptional as the tequila that anchors it. This cocktail has that warm reposado depth, then a clean tart snap from verjus and lime, rounded out with simple syrup. The grapefruit bitters pull everything together and keep it from tasting too sweet. Finish it with toasted baby corn. Recipe compliments of Don Julio.

Ingredients

• 30 ml Don Julio Reposado
• Dash (±1 ml) masa flour-infused gin
• 7.5 ml verjus
• Dash (±1 ml) fresh lime juice
• 15 ml simple syrup
• 2 dashes (±2 ml) grapefruit bitters
• Toasted baby corn, for garnish

Method

1. Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice.

2. Stir until chilled and fully combined.

3. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.

4. Garnish with toasted baby corn and serve.
