A Rosé Sangria made for two is the perfect summer sip

This version of sangria takes the familiar Spanish classic and gives it a playful twist using Spier Canned Rosé.

Turn one can of Spier Rosé into a fresh and colourful festive welcome drink, with the addition of brandy, sliced fruit and your choice of soda water (for a dryer result) or lemonade (for a lightly sweetened result). While sangria is usually made in a pitcher for a bigger group, our recipe neatly serves two. Adjust quantities as needed.

Ingredients

  • about 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 can Spier Sauvignon Blanc
  • 2 tots brandy
  • a few slices fresh orange
  • about 6 strawberries, halved or sliced
  • soda water or lemonade, for topping up

Method

  1. Divide the ice between 2 large stemless glasses.
  2. Divide the wine between the glasses, then add a tot of brandy to each glass and stir lightly.
  3. Add the slices fruit and top up with soda or lemonade, then garnish with a slice of orange. Serve immediately.
