Covid-19: South Africa’s recovery rate hits 61%
298 new deaths have brought the total number of deaths to 7 067, while the recovery rate is sitting at 61% with 274 925.

Covid-19 cases continue to rise with 7 096 new cases bringing the total to452 529.
Gauteng remains the worst affected province with 162 319 infections, followed by the Western Cape with 92 600 and the Eastern Cape with 74 231.

A total of 2 802 925 tests have been conducted thus far, with 57% of those taking place in private facilities, and 43% in public facilities.
