Garden Route Covid-19 infections still declining
The decline in recorded new cases is also continuing as the week before last, 208 new cases were recorded (compared with 112 this past week).

The Garden Route recorded two Covid-19 deaths from Tuesday 29 September to Monday 5 October and 112 new cases were reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 360 and total number of cases to 10 082.
One death was recorded in George and one in Oudtshoorn.
According to Nadia Ferreira, Garden Route district spokesperson for the Western Cape Department of Health, 9 450 people have recovered and there are 272 active cases in the district.
This is a further decline in active cases compared with the last figure provided by the department last week when there were 327 active cases (as of Tuesday 29 September).
The decline in recorded new cases is also continuing as the week before last, 208 new cases were recorded (compared with 112 this past week).
In George, the number of active cases has dropped from 115 as of Tuesday 29 September to 105 as of Monday 5 October.
